Here is what you will need to make this blueberry milkshake:
Frozen blueberries: Using frozen blueberries will make this milkshake extra thick and chilled.
Vanilla ice cream: You can use vegan or dairy-free vanilla ice cream if desired or necessary.
Milk of choice: Use whatever milk you like. I personally like using oat milk or almond milk for this blueberry milkshake.
How to make
Making this milkshake is as simple as adding all of the ingredients to a blender and blending until smooth.
If you have trouble getting it blended, add a bit more milk. Make sure you don’t make your milkshake too thin tough!
Dairy-free ice cream brands
If you want your blueberry milkshake to be dairy-free or vegan, check out these ice cream brands:

- So Delicious
- Oatly
- NadaMoo!
Tips
Make sure you use frozen blueberries. This will make the milkshake thicker.
Add any extra milk SLOWLY. If you can’t get this shake blended, add a bit more milk. Only add a small amount, then try blending again. Then repeat until the milkshake is blended.
If you add too much milk, your milkshake may get too thin. If this happens, simply add some more ice cream or frozen blueberries.
Adjustments and substitutions
As mentioned, you may use regular vanilla ice cream or a dairy-free vanilla ice cream.
You can also use any milk you’d like. For a vegan and dairy-free milkshake, I recommend oat milk or almond milk.

Blueberry Milkshake
This is the perfect blueberry milkshake! It is thick, creamy, and a delicious dessert. You can use vegan ice cream to make this shake dairy-free and vegan if desired.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ¾ cups vanilla ice cream (dairy-free if desired)
- 1 cup milk of choice (I use oat milk or almond milk)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Notes
You may need to add some more milk to get things blended, especially if you don’t have a high-powered blender. If you like your milkshakes super thick like I do, make sure you don’t add too much extra milk.
